Some random panoramics taken during that road trip to Dallas. Two walls happened to be in the same area of McKinney, TX. A concrete wall with random writings carved into, and another of music notes printed. If they somehow survive for 50,000 years, would archaeologists think they were writings from a ermerging/decaying culture? Would they be able to recognized the time period they were in?

Working backwards. A quick visit to McKinney, TX. Sweet little town. Revitalized. It is surviving as opposed to dying, as have seen in other towns like Baytown and La Porte.

A road trip to Dallas.

“Vocation Pictures” are perhaps the most misunderstood and maligned form of photography. Those jokes about relative and friends making you sit through hours of slideshow of their recent holiday trip, are really more about the narcissism of the persons showing rather than about the bad photos.

The pictures taken are about a very specific time/place in your/their history, good or bad. The next time someone else visits the place, its going to look and feel different. There will be different stories.

“Look! This is us at Mount Fuji!”
“Yes. Looks great. Tell me now, what was happening that day where you were when you were there? Tell me about that old man walking behind you?”

In this particular series, images from a visit to Bishop Arts District, Watter Creek, Allen Marriott Courtyard and Buccee’s at Madisonville.
