First Annual DocFest. In honor of Dr Robert Morgan. Former and current HSPVA alums gather to celebrate at The Ensemble Theater. Everette Harp was also inducted into the HSPVA Jazz Hall of Fame.

Jazz Portriats usually presented in black & white. Pin-up just does not translate well in that format.

Wayne Shorter graced Houston with his quartet at Wortham Theater. Presented by Da Camera of Houston.

One should note that I have never seen a Jazz musician being mobbed by an appreciative crowd like a rock star after the concert. Kudos to the master.

An evening of Arlen, Gershwin, Porter, and Kern with the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music Jazz Orchestra, directed by Noe Marmolejo. Narrated by Donna McKenzie and joined by singers Tianna Hall and Henry Darragh, the MSMJO presents an evening dedicated to 4 of the top contributors to the Great American Songbook.
